bling bling

I remember when I first got engaged, I was so diligent about getting my ring cleaned because it gets so sparkling afterwards. Then after I got my 1920s vintage wedding band, I started to worry that perhaps all the ultrasonic cleaning would damaged the already delicate setting. I was right, shortly after, one of the stones fell out. It's one of those rings where even vintage specialist refuse to resize it for me because it's been worked on so much over the years.(it's that very idea that attracted me to this ring) In any case, I've recently found a recipe for ring cleaning solution and thought I'd give it a shot. The result is pretty good ...at least safer than taking it out to the store every month.

Tough Critic

As I'm staying up late, trying to finish up a project ... Aaron decides to make it into a whale. Tough critic. 

Crew Cuts what?!

Yesterday I was reading one of my favorite blogs Oh Joy and she happen to mention that she shops at Crew Cuts since she's petite enough to fit into them! I thought to myself "why haven't I thought of that?!" Not only are they more affordable, they're super cute. All these years of being short and little is finally paying off! Here are some of my favorites, what do you think? not too kiddish right? Though I'm a little weary about the fitting for the tops and the bottoms (will have to try them out) I'm fairly certain the shoes are a done deal. I've always thought that when I have kids, I will definitely shop at Crew Cuts ...but now I don't have to wait until then!

There are good days and bad days - on bad days I like to cheer myself up with this video! Aaron and I did a little research after we saw this a few months ago and we're 90% sure it's for real. Happy Day.

oh my darling Clementine

Earlier this year we had to move out of our little apartment in west la to help take care of family during illness down in orange county. Among the many many things I miss terribly about our apartment, Clementine is probably ranked top 2. It's this little bakery tucked away in century city ... they're known for their grill cheese sandwiches but really, everything is good there. I miss studying there, riding my bike there, meeting up with my girlfriends there, getting soup for Aaron from there when he's sick ... I just miss my clementine. Anyhoo, got to pay a visit this past weekend and it made me a happy girl. 

ps. during the summer, they sell hollywood bowl boxes - basically box of food you could take to the hollywood bowl. Two of my favorite things in LA: clementine + hollywood bowl <3
